Archestratus – Father of Gastronomy (about 350 BC)

    Archestratus is considered the Father of Gastronomy because he created the word Gastronomy by mixing Gaster (ancient Greek for stomach) and Nomia (the laws that govern something) to describe his new form of critiquing food.
