Ophiuchus
Ophiuchus is the thirteenth sign of the zodiac, representing a man holding a serpent. It is associated with the element of fire, the planet Jupiter, and the colors purple and green. People born under this sign are said to be adventurous, curious, wise, and healing.
Ophiuchus has its origins in a Greek myth about Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing. According to the myth, Asclepius was the son of Apollo and Coronis, a mortal princess. He learned the art of healing from the centaur Chiron, who taught him how to use herbs and surgery.
Asclepius became so skilled that he could even raise the dead with his magic staff, which had a serpent coiled around it. This angered Hades, the god of the underworld, who complained to Zeus that Asclepius was disrupting the natural order of life and death. Zeus agreed and struck Asclepius with a thunderbolt, killing him.
Apollo was furious by his son’s death and threatened to destroy the world with his arrows. To appease him, Zeus placed Asclepius among the stars as the constellation of Ophiuchus, which means “serpent bearer”. He also gave him a place in Olympus as the god of healing.
Ophiuchus is a rare and mysterious zodiac sign that reflects many aspects of human potential and destiny. It is a symbol of adventure and curiosity that can explore new horizons and discover new knowledge. It is a symbol of wisdom and healing that can use natural resources and divine power to restore health and harmony. It is a symbol of life and death that can challenge the limits of mortality and transcendence.
