Birmingham Vulcans

You might be surprised to find out that the largest cast iron statue in the world (and one the largest statues in the US), is a statue of Vulcan in Birmingham, Alabama. Vulcan was the Roman name of Hephaestus, Greek god of blacksmiths, fire and more. You can find out more about him on his god page through the navigation menu.

Vulcan is so important to Birmingham, Alabama that the local rugby club is named after him. And it because of this that we decided to partner up with Vulcans Rugby and want to bring your attention to a fundraiser they are having to build new lights on their field, so you can also help them out. You can go directly to their homepage at www.BirminghamRugby.com and you will find the fundraiser there. You can learn more about Vulcan Park & Museum in the 5 video series below.
