The Talos Principle II Launch Trailer

A few days ago The Talos Principle II came out on all major gaming platforms. Named after the Greek myth of Talos, the giant robot built by Hephaestus to protect the island of Crete from invaders, The Talos Principle II is a first-person puzzle game by Croteam and Devolver Digital.

The Talos Principle II is set in a future world where a team of scientists developed a sentient AI to repopulate Earth when they are gone.  Biological humanity is eventually extinct, but human culture lives on in a city of robots. The player is swept up in a mind-bending adventure involving a mysterious megastructure hiding enormous powers. The game expands on the philosophical themes and stunning environments of the first game with increasingly mind-bending challenges.

Also interesting to note that the name of the game has been chosen carefully, to allude to Hephaestus (the Greek god of fire, metalworking, and craftsmanship). and his many inventions. As you play through the puzzles you could imagine yourself being in the workshop of Hephaestus trying to figure out how to put the pieces of the puzzles and inventions together. The Talos Principle II is a must-play for fans of puzzle games and science fiction.
