NFL playoffs as seen by the Greek gods

If you are following us for some time you will know that every year, when the NFL playoffs start, we give a run down of the games based on how the Greek gods would look at the teams. Every Greek god had sacred animals, and as luck would have it, there are many NFL teams named after animals that were sacred to each god. So for the 2023 NFL playoffs, here are the teams that the Greek gods would support:

• Jaguars are a sacred animal of Dionysus, so he would be supporting the Jacksonville Jaguars.

• Lightning is the symbol of Zeus, so he would support the LA Chargers

• Bengals are a sacred animal of Dionysus, so he would support the Cincinnati Bengals

• Ravens are the sacred animal of Apollo, so he would support the Baltimore Ravens

• Buffalo Bills are a named after a type of Bull, which are sacred to Zeus and Poseidon

• Dolphins are sacred to Poseidon, so he would support the Miami Dolphins

• Eagles are sacred to Zeus, so he would support the Philadelphia Eagles

• Hawks are sacred to Apollo, so he would support the Seattle Seahawks

• And all the gods would support the New York Giants, because the word giant comes from the Greek word Gigantes:)
