Our own book, Greece at the Oscars is the first of its kind history of all Oscar nominated or winning movies with a Greek connection. Long before the Oscars existed the Greeks celebrated the City Dionysia and the Lenaia, festivals of theater and arts that gave awards to the best performances. It is no surprise that 2,500 years later, the Greeks are still participating and being recognized in this field.
