Most people think that Charles Darwin created the theory of evolution, but in fact it was Anaximander of Miletus that first came up with the idea over 2,500 years before Charles Darwin did. Sure, it was a bit different than we see it today, but he came up with the concept. Anaximander is also the first to have drawn a map of the world.
